Joining The Real World

As school comes to a close i’m realizing how close I am to joining the real world again. I have truly enjoyed my time in school, but i’m truly trilled that it’s coming to a close. It’s a day that I thought would never come, I am in disbelief still that in nine days I will be done with school. Many have wondered if I would ever finish as did I myself, I guess at the end of the day it was only a matter of time before I did finish. So yes I am very proud of myself. I am going to cherish my school memories as much as my football memories. I have learned a lot and I am very thankful to all of those that have helped me along the way. It has truly been a journey that I wouldn’t wish on anyone, but at the end of the day I have truly beat the odds and can’t wait to walk out of my last class knowing it’s all done.

Cheaters

Have you ever watched the TV show Cheaters? Do people really not know when the person their dating or married to is not being faithful. The people on the show are so emotional but why when they called cheaters because they believed there were things going on. Really people you know when you are in a situation that is not good for you and sometimes you have to make decisions that are hard. So why cry you find out what you had already suspected. When you go looking for you trouble you will find it. At the end of the day the show is very funny, so thank you for the laughs Cheaters.

A Special Week

This is the time of year when families get together and relive moments of the past, the week that you see that family member that you haven’t seen in years. The feast is like no other, a special menu for a special week. Everyone’s diet seems to be off, eating things they know they will regret the following week. It’s a great time for all football games galore, with dessert fit for a king. It’s going to be a great week, family, food, football and friends.

Why Date

Many people go on dates to met that special someone, others go to pass time and various other reasons. Is it really getting to know a person over a loud movie or diner in a crowded restaurant. It seems that sometimes people are out to get a free meal or some other benefit. At the end of the day what do you really learn from a date? I truly believe all that you learn is that you have met a persons representative and you will not met their true self for three to four months. So why date, truly it’s just to pass time.

Alabama Sunday

Sunday’s in Alabama always seem to be a little bit more special after an Alabama football win. The tea seems to be a little sweeter and the Sunday diner taste better than it did the previous Sunday. The majority of the states residents are happy, reflecting on the game from the previous day. While the rest of the states residents are trying to figure out what went wrong with their team. A day filled with NFL Football and news highlights of the Tide. It doesn’t get much better than Alabama Sunday’s Roll Tide!

The big game

This weekend the biggest game of the NFL season will be played. The Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots square off in a match up of the league’s top two quarterbacks. Tom Brady has returned to the Brady of old and Peyton Manning is business as usual. It will be a game filled with fireworks and lots of points scored. There is no way to give a clear advantage to either team, they are both Super Bowl contenders with postseason experience.

I made it!

After being asked several times throughout the week about the play and doing several interviews, the week is finally behind me. I found myself reliving the play over and over, every time I was asked about it. The video of the play was e-mailed to me and shown to me by several people, and yes I still find it very painful to watch. In the end the week wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, I didn’t cry or have a nervous breakdown. I was strong even when every part of my body didn’t want to be. I will admit I was very sad all week and being single I lacked that person to be there for me in my time of need. It’s funny that people always ask me knowing the outcome of the play would I do the same thing all over again? I have a new answer for them, “if you knew all the heart ache and pain along with the medical problems and issues with school, would you make it.” Just to see how many of them would lie and say they would. In the end I wouldn’t wish this on anyone, yes i’m a famous Alabama Football Player, but I would trade it all to be a pain free healthy Alabama resident.

Are You Serious

It’s hard to believe that the one person that has actually done anything to improve the city of Birmingham has been found guilty on 60 counts. Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford lost a major legal battle yesterday. Since the day Langford won the Birmingham mayoral election people have been taking shoots at the mayor. Is the city of Birmingham so backwards that it was out to get the one person that tried to moved the city forward. It is very disturbing that Langford has been scrutinized they way he has, it leaves me to ask the question does Birmingham every want to advance with the rest of the world. With growing sewer debt and a mayor on the outs it does not look good for Birmingham.
